Sega Sammy Holdings said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥29.47 per share, a decline of 65.9% from ¥86.49 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥7.20 billion, a decline of 66.1% from ¥21.23 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 6.4% from 15.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 20.1% on an annual basis to ¥113.27 billion from ¥141.75 billion, and total operating expenses declined 6.6% from the prior-year period to ¥100.46 billion from ¥107.58 billion.
Reported net income declined 93.8% on an annual basis to ¥2.06 billion, or ¥8.41 per share, from ¥32.98 billion, or ¥134.40 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
