Chico, Calif.-based Northern California National Bank appointed Lisa Speegle to be an independent director.

Speegle is the chief business officer for Nord Country School.

Merrill Lynch named Chris Mueller market executive for its wealth management division, Buffalo (N.Y.) Business First reported.

He replaces Jeff Adams and will oversee the Buffalo and Rochester markets.

Mueller joined Merrill Lynch's wealth management arm 14 years ago. Charlotte, N.C.-based Bank of America Corp. is the ultimate parent of Merrill Lynch.

Sun Life Global Investments Inc. promoted Head of Investment Distribution Jordy Chilcott to president of the company, Pensions & Investments reported.

He replaces Richard Headrick, who left the company a few weeks ago.

Chilcott will also take on the newly created role of senior vice president, investment solutions.
