Malayan Banking Bhd. and GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. said May 21 that they are are collaborating to accelerate the adoption of cashless payment methods in Malaysia.
Users of Grab's mobile wallet service, GrabPay, will be able to use the service at Maybank's key merchants, while Maybank customers can pay via its payments service at GrabPay merchants.
Grab received an e-money license from the Malaysian central bank in December 2017 and plans to launch GrabPay in the country in the coming weeks.
