Daniel Bitzer assumed responsibilities as president and CEO of First National Bank of Michigan Jan. 1.

He was named president of the Kalamazoo, Mich.-based bank in December 2015.

Jefra Groendyk will remain senior lender and market president for the Grand Rapids location, and John Schreuder will serve as senior executive and co-chairman.

The bank is a unit of First National Bancorp Inc.
