Coca-Cola Embonor SA said its first-quarter normalized net income amounted to 17.85 Chilean pesos per share, an increase of 30.6% from 13.67 pesos per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 9.12 billion pesos, an increase of 30.6% from 6.98 billion pesos in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.8% from 6.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 16.5% on an annual basis to 133.37 billion pesos from 114.47 billion pesos, and total operating expenses climbed 16.0% year over year to 115.42 billion pesos from 99.52 billion pesos.
Reported net income rose 39.6% on an annual basis to 12.05 billion pesos, or 23.58 pesos per share, from 8.63 billion pesos, or 16.89 pesos per share.
As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to 600.20 Chilean pesos.
