Switzerland's Unigestion eyes expansion in Scandinavia, adjacent countries

Switzerland-based asset manager Unigestion SA set up a new branch in Copenhagen, Denmark, and plans to use it as the base for an expansion drive in the Scandinavian region and adjacent countries, Finews.com reported.

Former Nordea Bank Abp employee Per Hansen will head the branch and be responsible for the distribution of its services to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the Netherlands, the news wire reported.

The Swiss asset manager also recently opened an office in Düsseldorf, Germany, in March. Unigestion has around $23 billion in AUM, according to the report.
