Francesca's Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 1 amounted to 17 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 18 cents per share.
EPS fell 18.5% year over year from 20 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $7.1 million, a decline of 21.4% from $9.0 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 8.1% from 11.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 9.4% year over year to $87.1 million from $79.6 million, and total operating expenses grew 16.4% on an annual basis to $75.7 million from $65.0 million.
Reported net income declined 18.1% on an annual basis to $7.2 million, or 17 cents per share, from $8.8 million, or 20 cents per share.
