Report: HDFC Bank names corporate banking division head

HDFC Bank Ltd. appointed Rahul Shukla as head of the corporate banking division, The Economic Times reported March 6, citing "four people aware of the move."

Shukla joins the Indian bank from Citibank NA - India Branches. He replaces K. Balasubramanian, who left the bank in late 2017 to join Citibank's corporate business in South Asia.

An HDFC Bank spokesperson declined to comment, The Economic Times said.

Meanwhile, S.M. Sundaresan stepped down as South Asia head of global corporates at Standard Chartered PLC to join Axis Bank Ltd. as head of corporate banking, the publication reported.
