ATOM fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

ATOM Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥2.51 per share, a decline of 9.7% from ¥2.78 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥458.1 million, a decline of 9.7% from ¥507.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 3.6% from 4.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 7.6% year over year to ¥12.87 billion from ¥11.96 billion, and total operating expenses rose 9.1% from the prior-year period to ¥12.18 billion from ¥11.16 billion.

Reported net income increased 46.5% year over year to ¥211.0 million, or ¥1.16 per share, from ¥144.0 million, or 79 sen per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
