Kedaung Indah Can Q4 loss widens YOY

PT Kedaung Indah Can Tbk said its fourth-quarter normalized net income amounted to a loss of 1.52 rupiah per share, compared with a loss of 1.50 rupiah per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 418.5 million rupiah, compared with a loss of 413.9 million rupiah in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to negative 2.4% from negative 1.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 21.8% year over year to 17.45 billion rupiah from 22.32 billion rupiah, and total operating expenses fell 26.2% on an annual basis to 16.98 billion rupiah from 23.00 billion rupiah.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 16.11 billion rupiah, or a loss of 58.37 rupiah per share, compared to a loss of 913.1 million rupiah, or a loss of 3.31 rupiah per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 6.14 rupiah per share, a fall of 59.9% from 15.31 rupiah per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 1.69 billion rupiah, a decline of 59.9% from 4.22 billion rupiah in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue declined 10.9% from the prior-year period to 91.73 billion rupiah from 102.97 billion rupiah, and total operating expenses decreased 8.6% year over year to 87.82 billion rupiah from 96.05 billion rupiah.

The company said reported net income came to a loss of 13.00 billion rupiah, or a loss of 47.10 rupiah per share, in the full year, compared with income of 5.03 billion rupiah, or 18.21 rupiah per share, the prior year.

As of March 29, US$1 was equivalent to 13,367.50 rupiah.
