Global View Q2 profit climbs 15.7% YOY

Global View Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 26 Taiwan cents per share, an increase of 15.7% from 22 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$16.3 million, an increase of 15.7% from NT$14.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 32.6% from 25.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 9.7% year over year to NT$50.0 million from NT$55.4 million, and total operating expenses fell 19.6% on an annual basis to NT$31.9 million from NT$39.6 million.

Reported net income declined 61.7% on an annual basis to NT$20.8 million, or 33 cents per share, from NT$54.2 million, or 86 cents per share.
