Yomeishu Seizo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥17.79 per share, a gain of 41.5% from ¥12.57 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥243.8 million, an increase of 41.3% from ¥172.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 8.6% from 6.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to ¥2.84 billion from ¥2.76 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥2.49 billion, compared with ¥2.51 billion in the prior-year period.
Reported net income increased on an annual basis to ¥236.0 million, or ¥17.22 per share, from ¥93.0 million, or ¥6.78 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥118.37 per share, a gain of 13.4% from ¥104.38 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.62 billion, an increase of 6.0% from ¥1.53 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose year over year to ¥13.15 billion from ¥12.97 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥10.85 billion, compared with ¥10.76 billion in the year-earlier period.
The company said reported net income increased 12.5% on an annual basis to ¥1.86 billion, or ¥135.53 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.65 billion, or ¥112.61 per share.
