Eni, GE to build 48 MW wind project in Kazakhstan

ArmWind LLP, a joint venture between Italy's Eni SpA and industrial conglomerate General Electric Co., was granted a 48 MW wind project following an online reverse auction for wind power plants in the Kazakhstan northern zone, according to a Sept. 24 release.

The project is located in northwest Kazakhstan in the Aktobe region and represents the extension of the 48 MW Badamsha 1 wind farm that is currently being built.

Eni said the project helps facilitate the company's strategy for decarbonization and transformation towards green energy.
