Coca-Cola to invest €1B in France over 5 years

Coca-Cola Co., together with Coca-Cola European Partners, plans to invest €1 billion in France over the next five years to support sustainable development in the country.

Coca-Cola European Partners is Coca-Cola's primary bottling partner in France.

The investment will be used to introduce new products and increase the bottling capacity and modernization at Coca-Cola European Partners' factories, among other things.

Coca-Cola European Partners has designated €500 million for the expansion of its production and distribution network. The company plans to invest in all five of its plants in France to introduce a higher quantity of recycled material in bottles and cans and to replace plastic by cardboard for secondary packaging.

Coca-Cola European Partners will also invest in new cooling equipment and digitizing its operations.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola itself will invest €500 million to support the development of its existing brands and to launch new products in the French market.

The investments will be a combination of media, brand experiences or strategic partnerships, Coca-Cola said.
