Peru's Interbank gets regulatory approval to absorb 2 units

Peruvian banking regulator SBS has authorized local lender Banco Internacional del Perú SAA to absorb units Contacto Servicios Integrales de Créditos y Cobranzas SA and Inversiones Huancavelica SA, El Comercio reported.

The shareholders of Interbank, as Banco Internacional del Perú is known, approved the absorption in March.

Interbank, a unit of Intercorp Perú Ltd., decided to close its Panamanian subsidiary earlier in 2019.
