Kan-Nanmaru fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Kan-Nanmaru Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 was ¥3.44 per share, a gain of 5.0% from ¥3.28 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥13.1 million, an increase of 5.0% from ¥12.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 0.9% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥1.40 billion from ¥1.44 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥1.38 billion from ¥1.42 billion.

Reported net income fell 61.5% from the prior-year period to ¥5.0 million, or ¥1.31 per share, from ¥13.0 million, or ¥3.41 per share.

As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.08.
