Bancolombia names CFO, creates corporate vice president role

Bancolombia SA said Jaime Alberto Velasquez Botero has decided to resign as the group's chief strategy and finance officer after three decades working at the company.

Jose Humberto Acosta, who has been acting as Bancolombia's vice president of finance, will assume the CFO role once Velasquez's resignation takes effect, expected in January 2020.

Additionally, the bank appointed Mauricio Rosillo Rojas, who has been serving as its chief legal officer and general counsel, to a newly created corporate vice president position, effective Oct. 1.

In his new role, Rosillo Rojas will oversee the work of Bancolombia's legal vice presidency, financial and treasury vice presidency, human resources vice presidency, compliance vice presidency and the reputation and communications department.
