American Eagle boosts dividend by 10%

Apparel retailer American Eagle Outfitters Inc. announced on March 8 a quarterly dividend increase of 10% in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The company will pay a dividend of $0.1375 per share, payable April 27 to stockholders of record at the close of business April 13.

American Eagle said it returned $176 million to shareholders in fiscal 2017 through cash dividends and share repurchases. The company said it paid dividends of $89 million and repurchased 6 million shares for $88 million.
