Peoples Bancorp of North Carolina CFO to retire in mid-2020

A. Joseph Lampron Jr., Peoples Bancorp of North Carolina Inc.'s executive vice president and CFO, plans to retire in June 2020.

The Newton, N.C.-based community bank also reported its third-quarter results, with net earnings increasing on a year-over-year basis to $3.6 million, or 61 cents per share, from $3.5 million, or 57 cents per share.
