Tyson Foods explores sale of pizza crust business

U.S. meat processor Tyson Foods Inc. said March 27 that it is exploring the sale of its pizza crust business TNT Crust as the company focuses on its core protein business.

The Arkansas-based company has appointed Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as its financial adviser for the sale.

The potential sale includes the pizza crust business of partially baked crusts, flatbreads, and self-rising crusts along with the company's two manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin.

Tyson Foods will retain its tortilla production from the facilities that will be used in other parts of its business.
