Nordic Mining ASA announced a 17% increase in the measured and indicated resources at the Keliber lithium project in Finland, which is majority owned by its associated company Keliber Oy.
At a cutoff grade of 0.50% lithium oxide, the resource increased by 1.4 million tonnes to about 9.5 million tonnes at 1.16% lithium oxide, compared to the June 2017 estimate.
The project also includes inferred resources of 531,000 tonnes at 1.08% lithium oxide, according to a May 16 release.
The company conducted about 11.4 kilometers of drilling in late 2017 and early 2018 at the Rapasaari, Syväjärvi and Emmes lithium deposit areas and plans to continue drilling in the second half.
Nordic Mining said it will update the ore reserve estimates for the ongoing definitive feasibility study.
