Former US homeland security chief joins Lockheed Martin board

Lockheed Martin Corp. said Jeh Johnson and James Taiclet Jr. have been elected to its board, effective Jan. 1, 2018.

Both will serve on two board committees: Johnson on the classified business and security and the ethics and sustainability panels; Taiclet on the nominating and corporate governance and strategic affairs committees.

Johnson previously was U.S. secretary of homeland security and general counsel of the Department of Defense and the Department of the Air Force. He is also a director of PG&E Corp.

Taiclet is the chairman, president and CEO of American Tower Corp. He also held leadership roles at the business units of Honeywell International Inc. and United Technologies Corp.
