Ambra fiscal Q2 profit climbs 23.7% YOY

Ambra SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 70 groszy per share, an increase of 23.7% from 56 groszy per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 17.6 million zlotys, a gain of 23.7% from 14.2 million zlotys in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 10.7% from 8.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined on an annual basis to 165.1 million zlotys from 167.8 million zlotys, and total operating expenses fell 8.2% from the prior-year period to 127.8 million zlotys from 139.2 million zlotys.

Reported net income grew 21.2% year over year to 24.5 million zlotys, or 97 groszy per share, from 20.2 million zlotys, or 80 groszy per share.

As of Feb. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 3.66 zlotys.
