Massachusetts regulator OKs City of Boston CU's membership expansion

The Massachusetts Division of Banks on July 13 granted permission to City of Boston CU to amend its bylaws to expand the associations that qualify persons for membership.

The Boston-based credit union is now allowed to offer membership to those who live, work, or attend school in Middlesex County, Mass., as well as those who attend school in its existing geographic field of membership.

The amendment also clarifies the definition of a "family member."
