H.I.S. Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Oct. 31, 2015, came to ¥61.70 per share, a decrease from ¥62.64 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥4.26 billion, compared with ¥4.28 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.7% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥155.07 billion from ¥152.23 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to ¥146.88 billion from ¥145.33 billion.
Reported net income decreased from the prior-year period to ¥4.14 billion, or ¥59.94 per share, from ¥4.19 billion, or ¥61.25 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥161.30 per share, an increase of 9.7% from ¥147.01 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥11.15 billion, a rise of 15.3% from ¥9.66 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose from the prior-year period to ¥537.46 billion from ¥523.25 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥517.49 billion from ¥507.34 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 20.1% year over year to ¥10.87 billion, or ¥157.22 per share, in the full year, from ¥9.05 billion, or ¥137.61 per share.
As of Jan. 28, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.74.
