Shriram Transport Finance raises 7.5B rupees in debt issue

India's Shriram Transport Finance Co. Ltd. raised 7.5 billion rupees through the issuance of nonconvertible debentures on a private placement basis.

The debentures bear a coupon of 8.15% and were allotted March 20, the company said. The debentures will mature 545 days from the date of allotment.

As of March 19, US$1 was equivalent to 65.30 Indian rupees.
