John Wiley & Sons acquires MThree

John Wiley & Sons Inc. acquired MThree Corporate Consulting Ltd., which provides education services that address the IT skills gap, from ECI Partners LLP.

Under terms of the agreement, MThree shareholders received about $129 million in cash at closing Jan. 1. MThree trains students and professionals for tech careers, according to an SEC filing.

John Wiley & Sons provides research and education content, platforms, and services to universities, corporations, researchers and learners.

Jefferies LLC was MThree's sole financial adviser on this transaction. Addleshaw Goddard LLP was legal adviser to ECI Partners LLP, and Osborne Clarke LLP was legal adviser to MThree management.
