Report: UBS probes second sexual assault claim by former graduate trainee

UBS Group AG has looked into claims that a managing director at the bank groped a former female UBS graduate trainee who made a separate sexual assault allegation against a different UBS director in July, Financial News reported, citing sources.

The woman alleges that the groping incident happened her during a team dinner in London in August 2017. UBS did not comment on whether the director in question would be suspended, but said it remained confident in its processes for tackling matters such as this.

The woman also alleges she was raped by a senior colleague in September 2017. In July 2018, she wrote to the president of UBS' investment bank claiming her allegations were mishandled by the investment bank's human resources department.

The accused senior colleague resigned from the bank in March, five months after being suspended.
