Rocky Mountain Power proposes lowering electric prices in Utah

Rocky Mountain Power is seeking approval from the Public Service Commission of Utah on cost and accounting adjustments that would lower electric prices by $6.5 million.

If approved, a typical residential customer using 700 kWh per month would see their annual electricity bill decrease by about $2.55, according to a March 16 news release. The reduction could be effective by the May 1 billing, if approved.

Rocky Mountain Power is legally known as PacifiCorp, a Berkshire Hathaway Energy subsidiary.
