Thor Industries Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended April 30 amounted to $1.10 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.20 per share.
EPS rose 14.0% year over year from 97 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $59.1 million, an increase of 14.3% from $51.7 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.0% from 4.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 12.2% year over year to $1.17 billion from $1.05 billion, and total operating expenses rose 12.0% from the prior-year period to $1.08 billion from $964.8 million.
Reported net income rose 15.8% from the prior-year period to $63.7 million, or $1.19 per share, from $55.0 million, or $1.03 per share.
