The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission named Andrew Busch chief market intelligence officer effective April 10, the Investment Executive reported.
Busch will be the first head of the agency's new market intelligence unit. The unit was established in March to "identify, analyze and communicate current and emerging derivatives market trends," according to the publication.
Busch joins the agency from Bering Productions Inc., an economic research company that he founded. Prior to that, he was global currency and public policy strategist at Bank of Montreal from 2009 to 2013.
