Hanwha Aerospace closes acquisition of aviation engine component manufacturer

South Korean aircraft engines manufacturer Hanwha Aerospace Co. Ltd. completed the agreed-upon acquisition of EDAC Technologies Corp. from Greenbriar Equity Group LP for approximately $300 million.

The acquired company will operate as Hanwha Aerospace USA.

Hanwha Aerospace initially agreed to acquire EDAC Technologies in June, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.

Completion of the deal, which includes 100% of company shares, comes after the receipt of all required regulatory and other approvals.

Cheshire, Conn.-based EDAC Technologies is an aviation engine component manufacturer.
