Hunter Douglas N.V. said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to $1.41 per share, an increase of 9.7% from $1.29 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $48.9 million, a gain of 9.5% from $44.7 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 6.8% from 6.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 6.2% year over year to $715.2 million from $673.3 million, and total operating expenses grew 5.8% year over year to $634.9 million from $599.9 million.
Reported net income rose 9.8% from the prior-year period to $65.1 million, or $1.88 per share, from $59.3 million, or $1.71 per share.
