Corby Spirit & Wine Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, was 18 Canadian cents per share, a gain of 5.4% from 17 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was C$5.2 million, a gain of 5.4% from C$4.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 13.5% from 12.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled C$38.3 million, compared with C$38.0 million in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses totaled C$30.3 million, compared with C$30.6 million in the prior-year period.
Reported net income rose 10.0% year over year to C$6.3 million, or 22 cents per share, from C$5.7 million, or 20 cents per share.
