Kayne Anderson Energy Fund's portfolio company Casillas Petroleum Resource Partners LLC and Halmos Capital Partners-owned infrastructure company Energy Water Services partnered to form Woody Creek Midstream, which will provide water management services to oil and gas producers in the SCOOP play in Oklahoma.
Woody Creek is building more than 25 miles of wastewater gathering pipeline in Garvin and McClain counties, Halmos said in an Aug. 22 news release. Plans call for the system to connect to 60,000 barrels per day of water disposal capacity owned and operated by Energy Water and to be completed in the fourth quarter.
Woody Creek and Energy Water signed a long-term contract to handle all of Casillas' wastewater transport and disposal needs across its approximately 56,000 net acres in the SCOOP play, the release said.
In addition, Woody Creek plans to expand its wastewater transportation and disposal services to other operators in the area.
Casillas Petroleum focuses on the development of onshore domestic oil and gas reserves while Energy Water provides water disposal, trucking, pipeline operations and other services to the oil and gas industry in the SCOOP. Kayne Anderson is a fund managed by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP.
