FremantleMedia CEO announces exit, to join YouTube

Cécile Frot-Coutaz will be stepping down as CEO of FremantleMedia Ltd. to become head of YouTube's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In her upcoming role, Coutaz will collaborate with YouTube Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl in administering growth strategies in EMEA, TBI Vision reports.

The Google Inc. unit is anticipated to confirm Coutaz' appointment on March 21.

The executive committee of RTL Group, FremantleMedia's parent company, is coordinating a smooth transition with Coutaz until her departure, according to a news release.

FremantleMedia has also begun an undertaking to select the replacement for Coutaz, who had been the company's head since 2012.

TBI Vision reported that Coutaz is said to be on a 12-month notice period with FremantleMedia prior to her official exit, but is likely to exit from the company earlier. The company did not disclose the effectivity of Coutaz's resignation.
