FDIC appoints general counsel

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. appointed Nick Podsiadly general counsel, effective April 8.

He will replace Charles Yi. Podsiadly is currently deputy general counsel and senior vice president of Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bancorp.

The regulator appointed Leonard Chanin as deputy to the chairman on March 18. Before joining the FDIC, Chanin was deputy general counsel and senior vice president of Fifth Third.

The FDIC also promoted Harrel Pettway to senior deputy general counsel from deputy general counsel.
