Bronco Billy Q1 profit climbs 19.7% YOY

Bronco Billy Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the first quarter came to ¥23.64 per share, a gain of 5.4% from ¥22.44 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥356.3 million, a gain of 19.7% from ¥297.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 9.5% from 9.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 22.6% year over year to ¥3.73 billion from ¥3.04 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 23.2% year over year to ¥3.16 billion from ¥2.57 billion.

Reported net income increased 20.3% year over year to ¥349.0 million, or ¥23.16 per share, from ¥290.0 million, or ¥21.87 per share.
