Encana promotes COO to president, makes executive changes

Encana Corp. promoted Executive Vice President and COO Michael McAllister to president.

The oil and gas producer also appointed Greg Givens COO and Brendan McCracken executive vice president for corporate development and external relations, according to a Sept. 10 news release.

Givens was previously vice president and general manager of Encana's Texas operations. McCracken most recently served as vice president and general manager of the producer's Canadian operations.

All changes will take effect immediately.

Calgary, Alberta-based Encana owns assets in shale plays, including the Montney and Duvernay shales in British Columbia and Alberta.
