McClatchy gets noncompliance notice from NYSE American

McClatchy Co. received a notice from NYSE American LLC Sept. 9 regarding its noncompliance with certain listing standards.

The company said Sept. 13 that it received the notice because it reported a stockholders' deficit of $372.5 million as of June 30, 2019, and net losses in each of the four most recent fiscal years ended Dec. 30, 2018.

McClatchy, which operates 30 media companies in 14 states, intends to submit a plan to NYSE American by Oct. 9, advising how the company plans to regain compliance with the continued listing standards by March 9, 2021.
