Food services company Aramark said Aug. 6 that it has acquired Good Uncle, an on-demand food delivery app that caters to college campuses.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Privately held Good Uncle, which was established in 2016, has a fleet of vehicles that delivers meals to areas within and outside the campus. The company will continue operating independently following the deal with Aramark.
Aramark said the transaction complements its campus dining services in more than 400 schools across the U.S.
The report comes around two months after it was reported that investment firm Mantle Ridge LP is planning to form a consortium to buy Aramark.
