Petropavlovsk CFO resigns; nonexecutive director named

Petropavlovsk Plc said Feb. 16 that it will look for a new CFO after accepting the resignation of Andrey Maruta, effective April 1. Maruta will serve as a consultant to enable a smooth transfer.

The company also named Adrian Coates an independent nonexecutive director, effective immediately.

Coates previously held nonexecutive roles at Polyus Gold International Ltd., Kazakhgold Group Ltd. and Regal Petroleum plc prior to his appointment.

The company intends to recommend Coates to the board of IRC Ltd., in which it holds a 31.1% stake.
