Former JPMorgan exec launches private credit investment firm

Peter Gleysteen, a former chief credit officer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and founder of loan asset manager CIFC Corp., launched private credit investment firm AGL Credit Management LP.

Gleysteen will serve as CEO and chief investment officer of the newly created entity. He is joined by Thomas Lee, chairman at private equity firm Lee Equity Partners LLC, as nonexecutive chairman.

A subsidiary of sovereign wealth fund Abu Dhabi Investment Authority committed $500 million to the firm, and an unnamed large U.S. state pension fund invested $150 million. Lee's family office also made an investment in AGL.
