Ramboda Falls PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 31 Sri Lankan cents per share, an increase from 14 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 6.2 million rupees, a gain from 2.7 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 18.5% from 10.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 30.7% year over year to 33.2 million rupees from 25.4 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased 14.7% year over year to 22.9 million rupees from 19.9 million rupees.
Reported net income increased on an annual basis to 9.2 million rupees, or 46 cents per share, from 3.7 million rupees, or 19 cents per share.
As of Nov. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 142.05 Sri Lankan rupees.
