Stryker acquires 2 private firms with expertise in imaging, robotics

Stryker Corp. completed the acquisition of Shirley, Mass.-based private companies Mobius Imaging LLC and GYS Tech LLC.

Mobius offers an imaging solution to combine multiple X-ray images to produce a crossectional image of the body. GYS Tech, which is doing business as Cardan Robotics, is the sister company of Mobius and develops robotics and navigation technology systems for surgical and interventional radiology procedures.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kalamazoo, Mich.-based medical-device maker Stryker acquired all issued and outstanding shares of TSO3 Inc. for $51.7 million earlier in October.
