Executive, director moves through Aug. 9

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of recent board and executive changes in the metals and mining industry. The moves are listed in chronological order.

Aug. 5

Australian Pacific Coal Ltd. appointed Craig McPherson CFO, effective Aug. 23, replacing Andrew Roach. The appointment is on a part-time basis.

Kazakhstan Potash Corp. Ltd. named Dong Xie a nonexecutive director.

Justin Reid resigned from the board and as a managing director of Aguia Resources Ltd., and Catherine Stretch stepped down as the chief commercial officer. The company appointed David Shearwood as an executive director.

Texas Mineral Resources Corp. expanded its board to seven members from five and granted the right to appoint two directors to Navajo Transitional Energy Co., which intends to nominate one of its current management committee members, Peter Denetclaw, and its CEO, Clark Moseley.

Aug. 6

Melior Resources Inc. CEO Mark McCauley resigned, effective Aug. 5, though he will retain his nonexecutive directorship. Chairman Martyn Buttenshaw will be interim CEO. Philip Day was appointed interim COO of subsidiary Goondicum Resources Pty. Ltd. to help complete the ramp-up of the Goondicum ilmenite mine in Queensland, Australia.

TriStar Gold Inc. changed Executive Chairman Mark Jones' position to a nonexecutive chairman role.

Taku Gold Corp. appointed Jordan Butler CEO, replacing Neil Swift, who resigned.

Scottie Resources Corp. named Annie Zou CFO, replacing Brent Petterson.

Majestic Gold Corp. Chairman Gengshu Miao died.

Aug. 7

Alistair Williams stepped down as a director of Greenpower Energy Ltd.

Amur Minerals Corp. appointed Thomas Bowens to the board as a nonexecutive director.

Voyageur Minerals Ltd. named Randy Henkle a director, effective immediately, as Declan Livesey left the board.

African Gold Group Inc. interim Chairman and CEO Stan Bharti will assume the roles on a permanent basis.

Titanium Corp. Inc. appointed Bruce Griffin an independent director.

Core Gold Inc. interim CEO Mark Bailey will assume the position on a permanent basis. Armando Alexandri was appointed COO.

Timo Mäki joined the board of FireFox Gold Corp. as Julie Lassonde stepped down.

Aug. 8

Energy Resources of Australia Ltd. appointed Justin Carey a nonexecutive director after Zara Fisher resigned.

Directors Bryan Coates, Jose Vizquerra and Tim Baker vacated their seats on Alio Gold Inc.'s board, while David Whittle was added as a director. The changes reduced the number of directors from eight to six. Director Paula Rogers replaced Coates as chairman.

Aug. 9

Orminex Ltd. appointed Michael Foulds a nonexecutive director and Ross Graham an alternate director, effective immediately.

Terry Larkan stepped down as the managing director of Kalia Ltd., effective immediately.

Alexander Mining PLC proposed appointing Nigel Burton a nonexecutive director.

Mako Mining Corp. interim CEO Akiba Leisman took up the role on a full-time basis. Paul Jacobi was added to the board as a director.
