BlackRock Inc. has named Ben Spielman and Ed Cook co-heads of global capital markets, Pensions & Investments reported, citing "two people familiar with the matter."
Spielman and Cook are replacing Matthew Savino, who was named head of alternatives sourcing at the company.
Spielman serves as head of U.S. equity syndicate and capital markets, while Cook is head of global capital markets Europe, the Middle East & Africa. They will continue to perform their current responsibilities in addition to their new responsibilities as co-heads of global capital markets, according to the report.
Spielman is based in New York, and Cook is based in London.
