Bank of the Philippine Islands appoints president, chairman for units

Bank of the Philippine Islands appointed Maria Cristina Go president of BPI Family Savings Bank and Natividad Alejo chairman of BPI Direct BanKo Inc.

Go, who previously served as head of retail loans at BPI Family Savings Bank, replaces Alejo as president of the unit, according to a June 6 release.

Meanwhile, Alejo replaced Cezar Consing, president and CEO of of Bank of the Philippine Islands, as chairman of BPI Direct BanKo.

The appointments, which are subject to the confirmation of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, came into effect June 1.
