Atlas Battery fiscal Q2 profit climbs 18.4% YOY

4914063 said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to 13.03 Pakistani rupees per share, an increase of 18.5% from 11.00 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 226.7 million rupees, a gain of 18.4% from 191.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 7.5% from 5.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 14.3% year over year to 3.04 billion rupees from 3.55 billion rupees, and total operating expenses decreased 16.8% from the prior-year period to 2.65 billion rupees from 3.19 billion rupees.

Reported net income increased 23.1% year over year to 256.6 million rupees, or 14.75 rupees per share, from 208.5 million rupees, or 11.98 rupees per share.
