China to import $8 trillion in goods in next 5 years

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the country plans to import goods worth $8 trillion during the next five years.

Wang also said at a conference in Vietnam that China is looking to attract $600 billion in foreign investments and increase its own overseas investments to $750 billion over the same period.

In addition, the foreign minister said China will widen its market access and open up its economy, including its financial sector.
